The 10 Best Soy-Free Fruit Snacks (2026)
By Editorial Team
Updated August 7, 2026 · 6 min read
Fruit sounds like the one category you shouldn't have to read a label on. Mostly that's true, which made this list easier to build than chips or chocolate. But soy still turns up in three predictable places: the oil used to fry banana and plantain chips, the anti-stick coating on dried cranberries and raisins, and the shared facilities a lot of fruit snacks get packed in.
Every pick below was checked against the brand's own ingredient statement or published allergen information, not a retailer listing. Retailer pages go stale when a brand reformulates, and on this site that would be the one mistake worth avoiding.
Every product here was checked against our soy-free standard: if soy appears anywhere in the ingredient list, including soy lecithin or soybean oil, it does not make the list. Read how we check labels.

Best Overall
Crispy Green Crispy Apple · Crispy Green
One ingredient, and that ingredient is apple. Crispy Green freeze-dries the fruit and nothing else goes in, so there is no frying oil and no lecithin to check. The brand publishes a full allergen breakdown through Allergence, which is more transparency than most snack companies bother with. Four individually wrapped bags to a box makes it an easy lunchbox default.
- 1 ingredient
- No added sugar
- Allergen info published

Best Two-Ingredient Bar
That's It Fruit Bars
The label reads apples, strawberries. That is the entire thing: twelve strawberries and one apple pressed into a bar, no binder and no added sugar. It is shelf stable for two years and needs no refrigeration, which is why it survives the bottom of a backpack. If you want a fruit bar without reading a paragraph of ingredients, this is the shortest label in the category.
- 2 ingredients
- No added sugar
- Shelf stable 2 years

Best Organic Dried
Made in Nature Organic Dried Mangoes
Organic fruit and nothing else, with no sulfur, additives or preservatives. Sulfur dioxide is the usual thing to watch for in dried mango and it is not here. USDA organic and Non-GMO Project Verified, in tender strips rather than the leathery texture cheaper dried mango tends toward.
- 100% organic fruit
- No sulfur
- Non-GMO Project Verified

Best Single-Ingredient
Peeled Snacks Organic Dried Apple
Made with one ingredient: organic apples. No added sugar, no preservatives, nothing artificial. Peeled also uses rescued apples that do not meet grocery store appearance standards, so fruit that would have been thrown out gets eaten instead. Soft-dried rather than crisp, which suits younger kids who are not into the crunchy versions.
- 1 ingredient
- No added sugar
- Rescued fruit

Best No-Mess
GoGo squeeZ Applesauce Pouches
A pouch of applesauce solves the problem of fruit that bruises, leaks or needs cutlery. No soy anywhere in the formula, and the squeeze format means it goes into a bag and comes out intact. It already earns a slot in our school snacks list for the same reason.
- Squeeze pouch
- No spoon needed
- Classroom friendly

Best Chewy
YumEarth Organic Fruit Snacks
YumEarth builds its entire range around avoiding the top nine allergens, soy included, which makes these one of the few chewy fruit snacks that clears a soy check without argument. Organic, classroom safe and individually bagged. The pick when someone wants something that eats like candy.
- Top 9 allergen free
- Organic
- Individually bagged

Best Banana
Gerbs Dried Banana Chips
Most banana chips are fried, and the frying oil is exactly where soy hides in this category. Gerbs is an allergen-focused operation that builds its whole catalog around avoiding the major allergens, which is why these clear where mainstream banana chips do not. Crunchy rather than soft-dried.
- Allergen-focused brand
- Crunchy
- No soybean oil

Best Tropical
Crispy Green Crispy Mango
The same single-ingredient process as the apple, applied to mango. Freeze-drying keeps the flavour concentrated without the sulfur dioxide that conventional dried mango often carries. Light and crunchy instead of chewy, and it does not stick to teeth the way dried mango does.
- 1 ingredient
- No sulfur dioxide
- Freeze-dried

Best Citrus
Crispy Green Crispy Tangerine
Freeze-dried citrus is rare because it is genuinely hard to do. Crispy Green manages it with nothing added, so you get tangerine segments that shatter rather than chew. Worth keeping in the rotation for when apple and banana have worn out their welcome.
- 1 ingredient
- Freeze-dried
- Nothing added

Best Berry Mix
Made in Nature Organic Superberry Fruit Fusion
A blend of organic cranberries, raisins, cherries, blueberries, goji berries and pepita seeds, sweetened only with apple juice rather than cane sugar. Dried cranberries are one of the most common places to find soybean oil used as an anti-stick coating, so a berry mix that skips it is worth knowing about. Good stirred into oats or eaten by the handful.
- Organic
- Sweetened with apple juice
- No oil coating
What we left out, and why
Barnana's plantain and cassava snacks have clean ingredient lists, but the brand discloses that they are processed in a facility that also handles soy. For a household avoiding soy outright, that is a different risk calculation, so they are not on the list.
Solely fruit jerky and Stretch Island fruit leather are both likely fine on ingredients. Neither publishes an ingredient statement we could verify directly, so they sit as pending rather than approved. We would rather leave a good product off than rank one we have not checked.
Where soy actually hides in fruit snacks
Three things to check when you are looking at something not on this list. Fried fruit and vegetable chips use an oil blend, and soybean oil is the cheapest option. Dried cranberries and raisins are often tumbled in a small amount of oil so they do not clump, and that oil is sometimes soybean. And anything coated, yogurt-covered or chocolate-drizzled brings soy lecithin with it almost every time.
Plain dried, freeze-dried and pressed fruit is the safest shape in this category, because there is usually nothing in it but fruit.
